The Foundation for DO!

This month’s DO! Award winner.

The Foundation for DO! recognizes, rewards and empowers individuals or organizations that, through selfless action, do positive high impact things for those they serve. Starting in June 2015, the Foundation for DO! will regularly honor an award recipient with a $1,000 grant to help them advance their work impacting their community.

DO! Award Recipients will be selected through online nominations and recommendations.

The grants are funded with proceeds from sales of the Little Book of DO! and the author Kel Landis.

Know Someone Who Deserves a DO! Award?

Do you know a group, person or startup making a big difference in your community? If so, nominate them for the DO! Award.

DO! Award winners will receive $1,000 to advance their work.

Six months after their award, recipients must complete a 1-page evaluation form detailing the impact of their award. Award winners may be made public and may be visited by foundation staff. Self-nominations are accepted.

We will not consider proposals for funding of the following:

  • Political causes, candidates or campaigns
  • Sporting or fundraising events, auctions or other benefits
  • Litigation or debt reduction
  • Institutions that discriminate, in policy or in practice, on the basis of age, color, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, race, religion, marital status, disability, veteran or other legally protected status.
  • Non-U.S. organizations or entities.
